This beret is the perfect "summer afternoon in Newport" hat if there ever was one. It's a medium weight navy blue ribbed fabric with a navy blue, red, yellow & white bow at the left temple. It has a 1.5" kelly green grosgrain ribbon interior band that measures 21" in circumference. It's in excellent condition. It's from Bachrach's, Washington, D.C. - a menswear company founded in 1877. Their motto, according to their Facebook page, is: "A men's clothing experience based upon a European fashion aesthetic & superior customer service." Sadly, after 140 years in business, the company is in liquidation and all 32 retail locations are closing. According to online reviews they seemed to have faltered in their promise of superior customer service . . . certain death for any retail company. Even so, it's such a shame to see it fold. In the words of Mr. Crown: "It's sad to see another tired man lay down his hand and quit the holy game of poker, that's the line, Danny. . . he's right, you know. . .third generation company, you would think they would show more grit."
