SHIPPING & HANDLING POLICIES
Our preferred method for Domestic Shipping is USPS Priority/First Class Mail.
We will consider other shipping options dependent upon weight, size & destination. All final shipping terms decided upon by The Red Velvet Shoe.
Shipping and Handling fees are determined by final package weight.
All packages must be shipped to the address on your Pay Pal account. If we cannot confirm your shipping address or if Pay Pal reports an unconfirmed shipping address, the Red Velvet Shoe is not responsible for said packages once they leave the Boutique. (This policy includes "GIFT DELIVERY" items.) Buyer also assumes full responsibility for any/all packages shipped to any other address. If you need expedited delivery, please inquire via email PRIOR to payment for item(s). We will send you an invoice for the total amount due. Certain domestic destinations will incur additional shipping and handling fees due to higher postal rates & packaging restrictions. We will email an invoice if additional fees apply for your purchase. In the rare event that an item is to be returned to The Red Velvet Shoe, shipping & handling fees will not be refunded and you will be charged a re-stocking fee of 25% of the price of the item(s) purchased.
We generally ship via USPS First Class Package International. This does NOT automatically include insurance. Please contact me prior to purchase if you would like to upgrade to a shipping option that includes insurance; I will provide a quote and adjust the shipping cost. (See below for more reasons to insure your package.) Our secure shipping service will keep you updated via email regarding the tracking of your package and to confirm delivery.
Due to the many variables involved in International Shipping, The Red Velvet Shoe retains the right to adjust policies in this regard.
Some orders will cost additional shipping & handling fees above and beyond the amount quoted at check out. We will email an invoice to you which must be paid in full before item(s) are shipped.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL CUSTOMS, FEES AND IMPORT OR VAT TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. WE CANNOT ALTER THE PURCHASE PRICE ON A CUSTOMS FORM OR MARK ANYTHING OTHER THAN AS MERCHANDISE.
The Red Velvet Shoe is not responsible for any delays caused by the customs clearance processes or the local postal service of the address you had it sent to. We are not responsible for any lost packages under any circumstances. If you have concerns, we highly recommend you pay for full insurance coverage; if you choose not to, it is your sole responsibility to accept the loss. Unless insurance is requested for the full value, lost packages will not be reimbursed. If you provided an incorrect address, are not there to pick up or claim the package, or move away, and the package is lost or goes missing, The Red Velvet Shoe is not responsible. If you do request insurance and an item is lost, you will be reimbursed once the claim has been fully processed and The Red Velvet Shoe has received all monies owed.

That said, we do want you to be completely happy with your vintage items and go to great lengths to provide as much detail and transparency as possible. Buyer assumes responsibility to check measurements, item descriptions, and make any inquiries prior to payment for item(s). In the rare event that an item has been grossly misrepresented and is to be returned to The Red Velvet Shoe, buyer assumes all shipping fees incurred for both purchase & return, as well a a re-stocking fee of 25% of the price of the item(s) purchased. Item(s) must be postmarked for return to The Red Velvet Shoe within 7 days of date shipped from boutique. Item(s) must be returned via the exact shipping methods used by The Red Velvet Shoe: attentive packaging, insured for amount paid for item(s), delivery confirmation and any other special shipping conditions. Item(s) must be found in same condition as they were when taken off boutique floor.
If you wish to request an Item Return, please enquire using our email from the transaction, and we will make a timely reply. Requests for return & refund will not be accepted after 7 days of date of shipment from The Red Velvet Shoe. All returns and refunds shall be determined by The Red Velvet Shoe.
