There are two thing this vintage gal never leaves the house without:
Today we will discuss the sunglasses. . .
As you know, Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis is one of my all~time favorite style icons. . .
and, as you also may know, she was the "Queen of Shades" . . .
I must admit this influence is present in my rather large collection of rather large sunglasses. . .
Let's see, there are Halstons, Vintage Anne Klein II for Riviera (love how that sounds!), Vintage Emporio Armani (which sadly fell off my head into the sea one afternoon on our boat, but which happily my darling husband managed to retrieve~~still unexplainable to this day!) Vintage Made In France (my latest find) and a medley of other not~so~famous~label sunglasses that for one reason or another I just felt drawn to and added to my collection.
JBKO once said something to the effect that she like the privacy that wearing large sunglasses afforded her~~it gave her a chance to engage in one of her favorite past~times: People Watching. We always think of her as being the one stared at, yet she was curious about other people and the things that may have been going on in their lives. Interesting.
I admit when dashing out of the house without having spent enough time to do so, donning a pair of sunglasses and a quick swipe of lipstick can do wonders. . .besides the fact I have light eyes and it can be almost painful to be in the sun without some eye protection.
