Fabulous vintage felted wool hat by Eric Javits, world famous milliner whose first creation debuted in 1978 at Studio 54 and has since become the the number one supplier of designer headwear at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales and Nordstrom's.  This work of art is a rich purple felted wool cossack / shako design with black passementerie & tassel trim, likely dating back to the 1980's/early 90's.
